What are the toilets/washing facilities like?

Located down by the stables, we have three Portaloos for the weekend. They’re about a 2-minute walk from the main party area and around 4 minutes from the far end of the camping field for those dreaded midnight number 2s.A small loo request: Portaloos are mostly for ladies, children and gentlemen’s number 2s. Wild wees are encouraged where appropriate to help us avoid filling the Portaloos by the end of day one! There’s a water tap by the stables for handwashing, as well as additional water access in the camping field.Sadly, there are no showers... it is a field after all. Bring a flannel, some deodorant and embrace your inner festival gremlin.By Monday morning, we’ll all smell the same anyway.

We are bringing the kids... and camping... help!

Firstly… bravo! Secondly… don’t stress. Kids are totally welcome throughout the whole weekend.Thirdly... if your kids are teenagers... keep them in line on the booze front!A few things to know:The music will be loud at night and will probably continue until at least 12.30am. The main speakers will be pointing away from the camping field, and the family camping area is roughly 200–270m away (marked on the map in yellow), with trees and hedges between you and the party. You’ll still hear it, but hopefully it takes the edge off!Alternatively, if you’re comfortable being a little closer to the action, you can pitch nearer the adjoining fence between the camping and party fields. That makes popping back and forth to check on sleeping kids much easier.Bedtimes are completely up to you. There should be a quieter window of around 6.30–8.30pm, when the music will either be lower or off while everyone heads up to Sundowners at the top of the field (weather permitting).Or embrace festival parenting: pram, blanket and some little ear defenders and see where the evening takes you!
Food, bottles and water:We know little people don’t necessarily operate according to the same eating schedule as the rest of us!There will be a gas BBQ available for guests to use, so if you want to bring some food specifically for the kids, you’ll be able to cook it there. There’ll also be a kettle available if you need hot water for bottles, food or anything else.There will be fresh water available on site from a tap down by the stables near the portaloos, plus another tap in the camping field. We may also have a hose/tap up in the main party field to save the trek down.So feel free to bring whatever food, bottles, snacks and bits your kids normally need. We should have the basics covered for heating, cooking and water.

What if the Great British weather does its thing?

Rain, blazing sunshine, or somehow both within 20 minutes... we’ve planned for it.If the heavens open:We’ve got four covered structures across the party area, including a Kids Bell tent, The North Star hangout (thanks Rawds), a stretch tent for the bands/entertainment and dancing (thanks Matt and Sam), plus a few little spare pop ups. If you have anything large and pop up in the garage and willing to loan it please gimme a call as might be very useful. So unless things get properly biblical, the party carries on.Bring a waterproof, some sensible shoes/wellies, brollies and maybe a spare pair of socks. This is England after all and classic that the heatwave ends now. We have considered this possibility. If it’s absolutely roasting:There’ll be plenty of covered/shaded areas and fresh drinking water available around the site. Bring sun cream, hats and water bottles, particularly for the little ones.And remember: it's a field. There is very little natural shade in the middle of it, so don't underestimate a hot day.Basically: Check the forecast before you leave and pack accordingly. If in doubt, bring something waterproof and something ridiculous for the sunshine.And remember, your car is only a short walk away and makes an excellent portable wardrobe. Chuck in the wellies, waterproofs, warm layers, spare shoes, sun hats and whatever else you might need, then just grab it if the weather changes its mind.Whatever the weather, we party.

Holy shit... this is a lot... what can I do to help?

It certainly is! And as we know, parties don't just happen. They're created through a love of bringing people together, building connection and having a bloody good time with friends and family.Of course, with that comes a fair amount of preparation, time, effort and expense. But once the party gets underway, we're all in it together.So if at any point over the weekend you catch yourself thinking, “Crikey, that bin's overflowing”, spot some rogue litter floating across the field, or just see something that obviously needs doing, please be the legend you are and sort it if you can.Pick up that bit of rubbish. Tie up the full bin bag and pop it down by the stable area. Stick a fresh bag in. Grab a mate if you need an extra pair of hands.Nothing major and no one's on a rota. Just a little bit of everyone looking after the place and each other as we go.Our little mantra from Glastonbury for the weekend:Love the Farm. Leave No Trace.And for those camping, please take your rubbish home with you where you can. A final sweep around your pitch before you leave to make sure you've left nothing behind would be hugely appreciated. The aim is that once we're all gone, you'd barely know a ton of people had just spent the weekend partying in a field!As they say, many hands make light work.And if you're still around on Monday, any help with the big clear up and getting the field back to looking lovely would be massively appreciated.Big love,K x
